I've been working for 4 years in Marketing for startups and touched very different subjects going from User acquisition/Performance marketing/Growth to product development and tools for data driven decisions (not as a tech tho).
I got into the Blockchain in 2017 but started trading NFT not so long ago (around March). I’m aware the market is still really early and as it is for nearly all crypto projects only a few will survive long term, let’s face it. I believe degen apes are in good shape to be one of them, but the road is still long and we’ll need to regroup all together, deal quickly with “mistakes” of the past and look forward as one.
I’ve been involved in the project from day one and witnessed all of the problems and discussion. Exiled, Twins & Bathrooms, Paperhand & floor down before the whales started sweeping and burst it to 100sol. I believe this experience gave me a sense of what the community wants and needs.
Many of you have already seen me although I'm not so vocal on the main chat and prefer to have private talks in MP. I’m more like a rational guy that prefers taking time to reflect on a subject before exposing my ideas. I think my profile could give some balance to this community (even tho I know how to be degen as well, don’t worry)
If I'm elected, I will :
Even though I own the king of apes, I don’t believe I will do anything alone or act as a king. Everything needs to be done to represent the community and we need to listen to them first and act in their interest, always. However, here are some ideas I will suggest.
1° Marketing events
Work with the team on creating innovative marketing events that could extend the reach of our project at the same time as increasing the value of the community and collection. (Cf : Coolcats treasure hunt with Time magazine & BAYC detective missions last weeks)
2° Clear communication
Start a reflection with all the other members of the council and dev team to challenge the communication we had on certain passed events (Exiled, twins..etc). I believe some points have been left to expectation for too long and need to be clarified asap so people aren’t in uncertainty. I truly believe people rather get disappointed than uncertain.
3° Rules for Council members & Community emulation
As of today I'm presenting myself to represent a group of people without knowing exactly what my role will be. It is in our best interest to define precisely what people can expect from us and what we are entitled to. I don’t think the 12 of us elected this week are the only people that are willing to help the community and we need to push forward to motivate the most of us to do so as well. Creating emulation in the community and making tools engaging everyone. As such, even if a role is due for 1 year, I propose that the community can vote for a change in the council seat. I believe as well that people in the council may one day have less time or that someone more relevant in the future might be more useful to everyone. It would be a shame to fix for 1 year a council that should represent motivation and merit.
4° Image & charity
Degen apes are the most valuable project on solana. I believe that profit is important but sharing is as valuable long terme as it makes you & other people feel better short term. Donating a part of our benefits to charity is something I personally value.
5° Marketplace dev
As mentioned on point 4, we are the most valuable project on solana. I don’t believe solanart ads so much value to our project as would opensea for example. If we decided to create our own marketplace we could use the 3% tax from solanart (and cancel those 0,02% listings that are nonsense). I would use this money to :
Redistribute half of it to apes owners increasing the interest to own and hold an ape (as SMB did)
Make a monthly donation to a charity voted by the apes owners. Each month we would launch an open poll where people could suggest charities and then ape owners would vote.
