@rloewe I have extracted the "--no-home" fix into a PR of its own #4 in order to separate things a bit. I have another PyTorch example that I will add to this PR along with a bit of cleaning up before we merge into main.

@eskech We should probably check that everything works when #4 and #5 has been merged to main before merging this PR.
