It would be great if you could add a license file to this repo as clarification. It is really quite simple, most common is a license text file named LICENSE.txt (or LICENSE.md) in the root of the repository.
If this is a basic opensource you could use the MIT license. But, github have a great page to help you find the correct license for the project as well.
