notifiers library seems to be not maintaned, maybe it's time for a replacement? #1248

notifiers library does not work on python 3.12 and PR for it is hanging on its github for half of year - maybe it's time to swap for another solutions for loguru?

Thanks for the notification.

I'm open to replacing notifiers references in the Readme and in the documentation if you have any suggestions for an alternative modern library.

I'm not personally related to any such project, but

https://github.com/caronc/apprise

looks pretty promising. I would love to hear any feedback from somone using that library more extensively, though.

Haha, yes actually I remember discovering the apprise library a few years ago: https://github.com/caronc/apprise/issues/44

It seems to have matured nicely and feels like a natural successor to notifiers. Time to update the docs, I guess. :)
