As per summary. The way the IDE manages it is cumbersome.

Perhaps have "profiles" to switch between

Change IDE paths for all platforms in the same dialog.. plus configure "Path Sets" - paths that aggregate with the "default". Activate and deactivate them at will!

Great if you're working with more than one client who usually have their IDE paths set to particular paths..
