Forge Version, and backports for older versions? #249

Me and my friends have a forge 1.12.2 server (if there were good mods for what we were looking for, we would have done fabric 1.16.5), and are wondering if there will be a forge port, or backports to older versions? This mod is really cool and we want to use it for our server.
