Hive Announcements can't be heard in bridge #2228

Description

Announcements from the comms console can't be heard in the bridge on Hive. Not sure how comms console announcements work so maybe the bridge is outside a certain radius or something? The cool down still activates but since you can't hear the announcement where it's being sent, many people assume that something went wrong and it didn't send.

Reproduction

Go to Hive bridge Make an announcement Observe button grey out and comms console cool down begin Hear nothing Assume it failed, make the same announcement again and be laughed at by crew

I have no idea what the deal is with this. It's not consistent between rounds and I've heard it occasionally happens on other stations too. But I've had more reports about Hive than other stations.

So, I believe that there's something specific with Hive going on but not sure what 🤷🏼‍♂️

Best I can do for now is delete and replace the comms console in case there's something buggy with it. The telecommunications server was already remapped into the bridge. So, it's apparently not from that.

I have no clue how it works but my guess was that it's some kind of radius from the center of the station, and hive happens to be really long. But I honestly have no idea, and it's probably in the C# which I can't read.

Hello, Many stations have had this problem in the past and this is the first report I've seen about this ever, I believe your theory of radius from center is correct in some part, but if it is that brings up another issue, why does it work sometimes but not others? I believe there is another unknown factor which requires code diving to find.

You know, iirc, station coordinates are randomized each round, meaning it could very well be tied to that

I see Milon did smth, but I looked at the code and from what I can make out I THINK it's radius related.
