Very interesting... This can all be done fairly easily. Though it may not be exactly how you ask for it. We just gotta make sure it balances. :)
The wool thing I think we could do with player.sendBlockUpdate() for all the players in the area. Then we'd just reset them after a few seconds of them being wool.
Sounds like a plan.
I had another idea;
/dance - Works like /timestop as far as the AOE except it causes lights, particle effects, screen-shaking, and inverse controls.
/confetti - Makes dense cloud of (rainbow) particles surround a target causing screen-shaking, sickness, and slowness
You can't have all of these at launch, which ones do you want first?
/disco's effect changes with each disc, ideas are as follows:
Wait - Something like /snare on target. 11 - Blindnesss on target. Ward - Some type of defensive buff on target. Cat - Spawns ocelots and rainbow particles on target. Blocks - Like entomb but with randomly colored wool. (Useless-ish, but fun) Far - Turns the target around 180 degrees. Chirp - Makes loud chriping noises and rainbow particle effects on target. Stal - Stalls with slowness, and inverse movement on target.
We need to re-design these after launch anyways. I'd like to keep the Donator deities lore-friendly even if they aren't part of Greek mythology (they need to match and play nice with Greek myth).
These ideas for abilities are in the air and being changed constantly.
/funk - An ability that causes lights, particle effects, and slowness on a target.
/disco - Similar to /chain but with a disc, effect changes depending on music disc. -Extra damage dealt with /disco while in radius of a playing jukebox.
/baddrugs - While in radius of a playing jukebox; the ability to cause lights, nausea, particle effects, and slowness on anyone else in the radius of the jukebox.
Passive of flight within a certain radius of a playing jukebox (immune to fall damage).
Passive of leaving random color wool when shifting on land.
Heavily based around having jukeboxes and discs, having to place a jukebox down and put a disc in before pvp kind of balances it out.
