Currently, you can only buy cooking recipes from the SMAPI console.

please add this, my partner wouldn't touch the console but would be all over that magazine rack.

I've love to do this too but adding the magazine rack is a bit outside of skills. I'd be happy to collaborate with other devs or artists that knew how to make that kind of change to Stardew.
