Sound files do not play after some time #30

Some time after starting to use Missed Call, sound files do not play anymore.

Notifications themselves still work (LED, vibration, etc.), there is just no sound playing. There is nothing wrong with the SD card, as Android still plays sounds from the SD fine through the settings menu. Missed Call neither plays the sounds when a notification should occur, nor when a sound is selected through the Missed Call activity. IIRC, no sound works (not the preinstalled ones and not the ones on the SD). It takes an unknown amount of time until the sounds stop working. It has always been a few days for me.

The only way to fix the issue so far is a reboot of the device. I tried ending the service through Android settings and restarting it, but that doesn't fix it.

I am on Android 1.6 on an Acer Liquid. I also have a system log from when a sound should play but doesn't, but I don't know if that's any help.

I know this bug and got this one only once in 3 month. Untill now I could not find the reason for that. But I will provide a fix as soon as possible.
