Most games need patches (ROM-hacks) to fully support widescreen. Else they will show varying degrees of garbage. If you use the standalone version of bsnes-hd, I recommend making a setting override file to disable widescreen for this ROM.
I'll close this issue. But feel free to further discuss the issue here.
As the title says, sprite artifacts appear in the widescreen areas when enabled, this is especially noticeable in Super Mario Bros 2.
I've tried all ignore window settings but they're still providing the same output
