I have read a couple of comparisons that found that Kraken is performing a lot worse than mOTUs2 and MetaPhlAn 3.

Can it be improved and made to be accurate?

I'm just curious if you have any sources for those comparisons. I'm working on a similar task for my research and thinking that those would make for excellent references.

Boxplots. Scatterplots and barcharts.

Thanks for the sources. That second source cites the old Kraken1, not Kraken2.
