This happens quite frequently, especially with new technicians who create Macros and want to share with their team(s), inadvertently sharing with everyone in DD with tech access.
We would like if we can expand Macros and put a permission tree around it.
Feature request to expand on the macro system as far as administration and management. Instead of just having your own macros and 'team' macros, I think it'd be great to assign members to teams. We have multiple customers, some related, most not, and assigned macros to the team so a select few can use a macro for their customers is problematic as it floods other customer teams with seemingly useless macros that they have to filter through. I'd like to be able to assign supervisors to ability to manage macros as well instead of letting all techs share out macros to teams. So basically:
1 - Create Macro Teams based on customers or site responsibilities. (Ex. Customer #1 Team Macros, Customer #2 Team Macros, etc.) 2 - Assign Macro Administrators to control what macros get assigned to a team to prevent the generation of incorrect or un-managed macros and prevent miss-shares. 3 - Be able to administrate team members for different customer groups so we can control macros to what teams.
Currently, we are going to have ask teams to not share macros that aren't pertinent to all technicians and I feel that's very limiting to the few technicians that want to share their macros with their small teams.
