Fans run constantly as long as there is input power to the Super6C regardless of whether or not the modules are powered up. I doubt your finding of HDMI cable 'causing' this is correct and I suspect it will be the same case without HDMI connected.
Jeff Geerling mentions this in his review: https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2022/6-raspberry-pis-6-ssds-on-mini-itx-motherboard
And you can see this at about 5.34 into his video on Youtube linked in the article above
I can confirm that this is a problem. With HDMI inserted the fans are always on, with no HDMI they turn off when the board is in the off state. Reliably.
More precisely, the fans stay on when the monitor on the other side of the HDMI cable is plugged into the mains.
This feels like some sort of a noise ingestion or grounding issue.
Hi i connected pikvm to super6c. and then fans working constantly also after poweroff board by button , and starting after plug power to board . I realized this happens when hdmi cable is connected to board .
You mean if the HDMI cable does not disconnect, the fan will restart to spin after power off the CM4 module ?
