Milestone 3: Determine Structure for Micro-grants

Goal

SpeedRunLUKSO milestones 1 and 2 provide basic+ challenges for a developer outlining some LSPs and their functionality. The purpose of the Micro-Grants funding within this grant is to help kick-start a sustainable micro-grant structure that:

• Gets devs building long-term valuable work for LUKSO ecosystem.
  • Example: Having a dev work through SRL, then carry out a small project to build a tool, tutorial, or whatever for a pre-existing LUKSO project (say a pre-existing DeFi lending app) is great because it could be actually used for real on-chain, in prod work, or it can educate people on something real.
  • Example of work deemed less valuable long-term: one-off hackathon projects on niche topics that not many or no one is building towards. This is not to say they are not valuable at all, experimentation is needed, but we are trying to be selective of how to use these initial microgrant funds.
• Possibly get devs to build projects relevant to pre-existing LUKSO protocols, and even get hired or intern / get grants with said protocol.

included in this could also be:

• a bounty board of desirable tutorials and/or features covering new LSPs as they are added (ex: the follower system - LSP26)
• advanced recommended paths of research and learning with emphasis on documentation and reporting + OSS
• advertisements on bounty platforms like bounty caster to raise awareness of speedrunLUKSO
• a mini-project and tutorial combined together with an emphasis on re-usable code / dev tooling
