Please find the summary of the GVC below:

On screen share you showed us that the connectivity issue regarding your new server [1] was addressed by the concerned team. Next, you wanted to perform the steps to move VM instances between zones/regions. I shared the document [2] with you and informed you that before moving a VM from one zone/region to another, always create a machine image of the source VM and take snapshots of the disks (boot and additional disks) of the source VM for the backup. Following the steps in document [3] you created a machine image [4] from the source VM [1] with us as Multi regional. Then I was explaining to you steps to take a snapshot of a disk (boot or any disk in your project) but unfortunately your machine ran out and you were disconnected from the GVC. You may follow this document [5] to create a snapshot of a disk. Please be informed creating snapshot incur charges accordingly. Follow this document [6] to create a static IP address. Kindly note it also incurs charges. As a next step you can try creating a VM from the machine image [4] with an Internal / External static IP address following the below steps:

Go to Compute Engine -> Machine Images page in GCP Console. For the machine image [4] click on the vertical three dots (refer to the screenshot [7]) and select the “Create instance” option. You will be directed to the VM instance page. Now make the changes you want to have in your new VM like change the zone/region, machine type (if required). To assign a new static External/ Internal IP to the new VM please scroll to the bottom to “Advanced Options -> Networking”. Expand the “Networking” option and then the “network interfaces” and edit it. For Internal / External IPs you will get options to select your static IP (which you created previously [6]). Select the IPs and Save the VM configuration. A new VM will be created from the machine image [4] with your preferred static IP. I hope the above information is helpful to you. If required I am available for a GCV tomorrow at the mentioned time slots [8]. Please let me know your preferred time slot from [8] and I will share the meeting link with you.

Looking forward to your response.
