We are assisting a company responsible for a new kind of file storage platform that pairs the Arweave blockchain’s “pay once, store forever” model of decentralized storage with familiar cloud storage application user experiences. Its intuitive interfaces let everyone from dApp developers to everyday consumers upload, download, cryptographically secure, and share their files across platforms and devices. Cool, right?!

Job Description

Challenges Be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining ArDrive's hosted infrastructure and services, while learning and building new decentralized technologies.

What you’ll do as a DevOps Engineer

Maintaining and operating their existing and new applications and services hosted across AWS PaaS and on-premises bare metal (Linux)
Deploying, maintaining, and operating their new application across cloud and on-premises environments supporting test, development, and production workloads
Providing input to infrastructure deployments supporting high-performance networking, application load balancing, monitoring and alerting, VPC and network setup, scaling methods, backup and recovery
Ensuring and demonstrating the technical quality and architectural integrity of the systems in standardized, continuous, and automated ways, i.e. automated deployment, continuous monitoring, and other forms of process automation
Auditing code and scripts, performing technical document reviews, code reviews, and pair programming within cross-functional harmony of the team as a whole

In order to succeed in this position, you'll need

Mandatory Skills

Advanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
AWS PaaS (or similar cloud platform) deployment and operations
Knowledge of SQS, Lambda, RDS, App Load Balancer, IAM, ECS
Previous experience working with containerization tools like Kubernetes, Docker Hub, etc.
Knowledge of Git and understanding of release management process and CI/CD using infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
Solid background working with Linux server administration, package management, patching and scripting

Non-technical skills:

Knowledge of Node.JS and GraphQL
Knowledge of Arweave APIs and system architecture
