Jerome got his first computer when he was 12 and his first paid gig when he was 15, writing copy protection software for computer games. He started his professional life as a software engineer at Airbus, working on autopilots and fuel management software for jetliners. He moved to the Silicon Valley in the 90s, got bitten by the startup bug, and proceeded to create 4 companies, sold 2 of them (and failed one of them completely). At Google Cloud, he helped large client migrate to GCP, but this helped him realize that he prefers startups to large companies, so he joined Google Cloud for Startups. He has deep background in software engineering, databases, cloud architecture, IoT and real-time programming.
