This Pull Request concerns old code used for the Surface-7 experiment and that has not yet been merged into the main working branch.

Changes proposed in this pull request include:

@jorgemfm27 could you look at the files contained in this PR and assess whether we would want to keep them in PycQED? If we deem them worthy of being kept, we should sherry-pick which file to merge with this PR, in particular to ensure that none of the new ZI drivers are affected by old functionality

After assessment, all changes contained within this PR are either superseded or unnecessary. The PR will be closed and branch will be deleted.
