Regarding the config file. #9

So, I'm completely new to Python. I apologize. This is probably a terribly silly question, but after completing this step:

Where do I go to find the config file to edit it and enter my token?

Thanks in advance!

In the folder where you ran run.py, a config file should have been created.

SeamyBot commented 7 years ago

Aw okay. I still see nothing in that folder other than the original three files. Bummer. Thanks for the response though!

Run it again, it should generate it

I tried running it several times, with the original folder in different locations on my computer, all with administrator permissions, showing all hidden files, refreshing explorer, tried searching for newly created config files.

What's the config file actually called? Could I possibly just make it myself? If I could, and it's lengthy, is there a template I could just copy from? I apologize for the inconvenience, and thanks again.

Could you run the program and last the log file here for me, thanks

Could you check that .ini isn't showing as a hidden file so you can't see it?

DiNitride commented 7 years ago

It is detecting a file, so it may just be a case of that you cannot see it

Tried that. No dice. Still only those three files. That's okay though. I'm gonna call it here for now and maybe try again in the future. Thanks for the help!

DiNitride commented 7 years ago

Strange, sure, it's detecting a file so something is there, not entirely sure what's wrong
