Will ELViS support multiple languages in the UI or even the content?

Interfaces will be designed and developed to be multilingual in the future, that is a project requirement. But during the first implementation phase, only English will be available unless there is a volunteer who wants to do the translation.

There will be a helpdesk functionality in English only. Admin interface will probably be also in English. Communications between requester and institute may be in any language which the institute wants to support, but English is required to be supported. Data should have a language indication but that metadata may often not be available -- might depend on the source.

This is also something we need to write in a more detail fashion the design doc.
