Renamed this to dcterms:type
.
We initially used dcterms:title
to remain in line with the Alternative Identifiers DWCA extension. However, as multiple reviewers have now indicated that this term doesn't match the description, I believe there are enough arguments to deviate here and use dcterms:type
After some discussion we decided to include both dcterms:type
and dcterms:title
but use the latter for a title/name for the identifier. This is in line with our policy to combine an identifier with a name as much as possible.
Term Name
dcterms:title

Feedback
both from the definition and the examples we think that dcterms:type would be more fitting to describe the type of identifier we are dealing with, e.g. "orcid", "ror", "wikidata". An alternative name could also be conformsTo. (while from the meaning the word format would also be fitting as the term name, it clashes with the dcterms:format already used within ods:Identifier).
