When using the extruder set up for serial on I24, it is possible to do a laser beam check on the viewer by pressing the Laser On and Laser Off buttons on the edm screen.
At the moment, a signal is sent to the zebra OUT_TTL by using SOFT_IN1 as a spare soft input. We should instead be using on that's truly spare and not used for anything else, like SOFT_IN3 or SOFT_IN4
