Just a thought, but the cover is a fill-to-bound front of a hard disk with it's actuator arm, and the chapter covers can have platters illustrated with the title written on one of the tracks, and the arm slightly moves each chapter like it's accessing data. If leanpub does backcovers we can have the case of the hard disk with the SCSI connectors and other pins.

I did a mockup on Canva.com using one of the free templates. It took me less than a minute to generate this. Using it as a placeholder for now until we figure out something more permanent.
