This PR represents lots of changes to whitespace in the routine I want to work on. I am checking this in as a separate commit in a branch with PR so that it can be tested before being merged.
I do not think it is necessary to review each change in the file, but if you do, make sure to “Hide whitespace” or you will have thousands of lines of differences to look at, rather than a couple dozen.
I think the way to test this is to generate output using the dhq2html.xsl routine in the main branch and this branch and compare the outputs for problematic changes.
