Explore options for how to display initiatives from different graphs distinctly #98

What options do we have to distinguish between initiatives from different graphs, those with data from multiple sources and those with and without location data.

Text and background in directory Dialog & popup palette Icon/Marker/Shadow shape/colour/transparency

We also need to distinguish between inititiatives with location data and those without.

Does the code currently make it easy to distinguish these categories?

Hi @MelissaMc20, could you take a look at this issue and give some initial thoughts?

Hey @ColmMassey

I think you've hit the most obvious ways of being able to do this in these > Text and background in directory Dialog & popup palette Icon/Marker/Shadow shape/colour/transparency

I think it would depend on which ways you're already using to display and how many items were in the key for the catagories. (for example, there'd be only so many different shadow shapes that could exist. Whereas there's plenty colours that can be 'different')

I think Icon for no location data would be the easiest solution, having for example, a pink marker (like the one on the map) next to the ones in the side panel that do have location data and say, an outline of a marker with a dash through, next to the ones that don't. With the added feature of a tag popping up when you hover over to explain the point or a key elsewhere. (or even just a small pink square, actually like a bullet point almost + a small grey outline of a square)
