We want to create a virtual and physical discussion space based on Freyron Collective’s ethos and imagined round studio space (The Rodeo). Anyone and everyone from the collective can get involved, use it to have their own discussions, workshops, etc.
How will the public get involved (invited participants, targeted audiences i.e schools, groups)
The space might contain beanbags, or wooden seating constructs, but will be quite minimalist and is essentially creating a space or platform for communication. So there will be two major aspects of interaction:
Virtual reality manifestation of the space, filled with digital representations of objects and ideas surrounding the Tate Exchange, as well as our own work. Using our Samsung Gear VR (a unique one-on-one immersive experience whilst still hearing discussion going on in the real space).
Symposiums/talks: One day we want to livestream a podcast, possibly inviting a speaker in the arts/digital/science industry to come talk and discuss with the two of us and anyone else who wants to participate. And another day we could have a session of talks and panel discussions, which could be led by anyone in the collective who want to discuss or present interesting topics.
The general idea of the round space is that it will invite and encourage anyone to join in and sit or listen or participate.
