Hello, I have applied the Simple format to my .pdf files. I am saving a new Word document as .pdf file. Both, the Word document and the pdf has tags: "testtag1" and "testtag2". When I mark the file in the Explorer, I don't see any tags in the tagfiels for the .pdf file. When I start the search for "tags:test", the .pdf is displayed and I see "testtag1" and "testtag2" in the tags field. If I enter "testtag3" in the tags of the .pdf in the explorer view, where no tags are displayed, the search still shows me "testtag1" and "testtag2". A search for "tags:testtag3" will not find any file. But the Explorer Pane now shows "testtag3"

I am confused...

When you added the File Meta handler for PDF files, was there already a handler installed, and if so, what was it?

Also, does a search for testtag3 still come up empty? Sometimes it takes the indexer a little while to catch up with property changes.
