Our UG stated that c/ only accepts numeric numbers and 1 dp and provided a valid example. But in the case where user decided to not follow the UG, and input $ before the cost, indeed our error message is not clear to address that.

An error message stating that the input for cost should not have any dollar signs instead of that the value must be between $0-$1000000. It is also not stated in the User Guide that no dollar signs should be included, so it can be unclear for the user, and the user may fail to add the cost because they fail to understand why they can't add the cost despite it being within the range.
