edit curve from the mixes menu - usability

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. goto and select a mix
2. goto and select a curve (menu)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the same entry point as I select a curve from the curves main menu 
(curve type already selected, 1st point active). But what I get is the curve 
selection menu (menu long for templates, arrows for change the curve type). Now 
if I press menu too long or press arrows left/right my actual curve is 
eventually lost. This is anoying if you have a complicated curve, precisely 
taken from the model. This happend to me several times. Lucky I backuped the 
model. I would prefer to that the curves menu inside mixes actes the same as in 
the main curves menu: to start with the 1st point activated.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
