A config for people with shaders to actually see where we are placing #688

Can you please just add a simple outline like you have for the destroyer gadget for the copy and paste tool? Have a config to change to just outline for people like me who have shaders and want to use your mod. The rest works fine but the copy and paste tool look's like it's on LSD. Thanks

No this is the forge version

This is forge 1.16.5 using optifine shaders. All tools show outline but the copy and paste tool shows nothing.

Don't use optifine? I don't really have a good suggestion here, unless someone can point me at a mod that does the same thing but works with optifine (+ shaders), I really can't help without pulling optifine apart and looking at the source which I don't care to do.

The only reason I and a lot of people use optifine is that Minecraft can't run without it. It helps to change some settings that really help improve performance. So I would love to not use it but I would also like to have more than 5 fps. Going to post some screen shots but "Create" Schematics works fine with it and "Rftools" Builder works too. Also again its fine with all the builder's tools but the copy and paste tool, just instead of trying to render in all the blocks which it currently can't do just render an outline.

Again since Optifine is Closed Source, it makes it very tedious for mod authors to support it. Most dont even support it at all and just say if it doesnt work you are SoL

Please don't post seperate post just for images... Also, I highly recommend using ProjectET's recommendations, most shaders are supported on oculus and iris if I remember correctly. What game version are you on? Out of curiosity

I'm currently on 1.16.5 Forge though I have notest that one of my main mods has just updated to 1.18 so thinking of maybe upgrading. Thanks projectE for all the links as I have been going threw it all and testing stuff out. The only thing I'm currently missing is entity textures and item textures that optifine supported but its not a huge deal. I do want to move to fabric as sodium and cem has that but then I'm going to loose alot of mods as many are on forge.
