Could you add the the mod a block which would mimic a chest behavior? This block should look for other mods like a regular chest but with items of every inventory connected to the laser network with a inventory node equipped with provider module. ME Storage Bus and RS External Storage should be able to pull items from this blocks, and by this from any connected inventory, they should be also able to store items in this block, which means, by piping items into this interface those items should be "sorted" (give it maybe 9 virtual slots, don't be like Storage Drawers' author, where Controller have only one virtual slot)
