Notes:
movement disease (DOID:480) parkinsonism is defined as bradykinesia (slowness of movement) in combination with at least one between rest tremor (4–6 Hz) and rigidity
Gait disturbances, balance and postural impairments https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7578144/
vascular Parkinsonism
- also known as lower body parkinsonism, is dominated by postural instability and
a broad-based gait disorder caused by vascular white matter lesions in patients
with a vascular risk profile.
- the parkinsonian features are of vascular origin
Could you add an entry for "Vascular Parkinsons" or "Vascular Parkinsonism". This would be a child of secondary Parkinsons syndromes. You have the cortical variant (vascular dementia) already listed DOID:8725, and vascular Parkinsons is a reasonably common post mortem diagnosis in the differential of Parkinsons disease.
