What should workshop email state?

This is what I put in my commit message (probably silly place to put content), made an issue so more likely you'll see it:

• Americanised spellings. Appreciate that advertised emphasis is upon dsm (so folks don't appear expecting to get immersed in distance sampling).
• Should this advert acknowledge St. Andrews workshops? Point being can we address ahead of time, the emails somebody will receive asking "should I come to this workshop or the other one?"
• Drop hints about one or two pieces of pertinent literature (Hedley and Buckland, Miller et al?)

I wonder if these details are better illustrated on the DEL page, rather than the advert. I was thinking of keeping the e-mail advert short. But, I do agree that these points should be acknowledged somewhere.
