GPS doesn't work #337

First of all, I report working OnePlus 9 Pro. I used it for some months and this is the only bug I found. There is not much to, I turn Location on and it doesn't work in any app. What else could I add? Latest version August patch, but had this since March when I installed.

please read this https://divestos.org/pages/faq#location

Most devices may take up to the full 12.5 minutes to acquire a GPS lock. Locks will often be quicker, especially if recently locked. Please test using GPSTest app with clear and direct line of sky. [deblobber][link]

do you see any satellites in the GPSTest app? please do NOT post screenshots of it.

I assume this can dox me, is this true?

I see satellites, yes, but leaving a clear sky line for 10 minutes on other apps shows no location.

@SkewedZeppelin Hey bro, any update? I did all the steps.

SkewedZeppelin commented 2 months ago

it is possible you have mismatched firmware

you need version OOS 13.1.0.592(EX01) and can use the steps here: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lemonadep/fw_update/

I see, thanks. Do I need to install OOS again or just extracting the ROM is enough?

SkewedZeppelin commented 2 months ago

just extract and flash those listed partitions

no wipe or switching to stock needed

josefv2 commented 2 weeks ago

@SkewedZeppelin I can't select the download. The app only lets me download the latest ROM.

SkewedZeppelin commented 2 weeks ago

firmware is included in DivestOS for this device, simply sideloading the latest update again will guarantee your firmware is correct

@SkewedZeppelin can confirm it's not that as issue persists. What's the next step?
