rdmsr: CPU 0 cannot read MSR 0x000001fc #1

As the title says, I can' access the registers from the CPU.

I've loaded the module with modprobe.

What do I have to do?

Did you use it with sudo or with privileged user? What distribution do you use? Did you solve it in the meantime? If yes, how?
