German translation is rendered differently than on Crowdin #1580

We're going through the German tutorial at https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/de/python_introduction/ which reads

oder du kannst den Apostroph mit einem Backslash (``) markieren:

For my daugther, it was not clear what a Backslash was, and it was not correctly rendered. I tried to correct this on GitHub, but then realized that there was a link to Crowdin. However, on Crowdin, it looks correct.

Thank for your report @hmeine, can confirm that also happens in Polish translation. I will try to ask Crowdin support regarding that one.

Support reply for reference:

A week ago we've released brand new Markdown parser which works nicely.

Checking if the issue you've pointed is solved here. If so, we will help to upgrade .md parser version in your project.

Will get back to you soon,

I've got a way to migrate to the new parser:

It's a good time to migrate to the latest parser! Please do the following:

1) Rename "master" branch to "master_old": https://crowdin.com/project/django-girls-tutorial/settings#files 2) Pause/Resume GitHub sync and wait until sync is finished (new "master" will be created, files will be processed by the latest MD parser): https://crowdin.com/project/django-girls-tutorial/settings#integration 3) Delete "master_old" branch now and wait until it's finished (during deletion, existing translations will be automatically moved to new "master" branch: https://crowdin.com/project/django-girls-tutorial/settings#files 4) Let us know if everything worked perfectly!

I asked:

Hi, as I understand it, the new parser will parse the source language - does it mean, that our translation coverage will drop?

And I've got:

Potentially, some translations might be dropped but you'll get Translation Memory matches for them.

Let's rename current "master" to "master_old" and import new "master". Before deleting old "master", we can check the difference between strings. All duplicated strings (which already exist in "master_old" will be hidden and unique-only strings in new "master" will be displayed).

No worries, translations are still in safety
