I'm having a similar problem, I have Linux Mint 12 on a laptop running wifi and
a desktop running win 7 both 32 bit and both on sun java 6 not open jdk. tol on
the windows pc sees itself and the mint laptop, but the laptop only sees it's
self, I told windows firewall to allow tol and the firewall is turned off on
the laptop. I sent a 2gb file to the lappy from the pc and it sent fine and tol
said it was from the desktop but the desktop dosn't show up.

Normally, the release 0.4.11 doesn't use the localhost (the IP address
127.0.0.1).
But 127.0.0.1 is saved surely in the configuration file
(".transferOnLan/proprietes"). You can edit this file to see.
You should stop Transfer-on-LAN. Then, you can delete safely the directory
".transferOnLan" in your home directory. Restart Transfer-on-LAN and it should
be ok.
The directory ".transferOnLan" will be created automatically by Transfer-on-LAN
with default values.
In addition, when you change the IP address in the preferences tab, you must
restart the application.

your talking about buntu when you say home directory
quote:
You should stop Transfer-on-LAN. Then, you can delete safely the directory

be ok.

On Windows, your personnal folder (your home directory) is "c:\Users\jhptro" or
"c:\Documents and Settings\jhptro" (if your user name is jhptro).

No veo los usuarios! Instalé T-onLAN 0.5.(1) en Linux mint 15. No solo no
aparecen, sino que se borra el usuario. Que puede ser?

Trying to share files over Wifi between a Mac and a PC. It didn't work. The Mac
only sees itself and the PC only sees itself too.
