Hi Dmitry,

Does Raphael run well in Adobe AIR? If not, is this something you are or will work on soon?

Thanks!

I have no idea. I will not look into it any time soon. In Adobe AIR you have Flash™ anyway. You don’t need SVG then.

Hi Dmitry,

I really thank you so much for your reply. I've been posting wherever I could to find out more about Raphael with Adobe AIR. At least now I know Raphael and AIR haven't been tested together by you.

I'm a Javascript programmer using Javascript/HTML/CSS, not ActionScript, in Adobe AIR. I'm evaluating a number of graphics libraries, including Raphael, for use in a commercial application currently in its pre-alpha development phase. Why Javascript? This commercial application also targets iPhone and Android as deployment platforms, where Javascript code can be reused.

I hope you'll be able to find time to enhance Raphael so that it will be compatible and will work with Adobe AIR. There are many HTML/CSS/Javascript developers now developing apps for Adobe AIR. If Raphael can work smoothly in Adobe AIR, I'm sure you'll have a huge user-base for Raphael.

Thanks again for responding to my message. I really appreciate it.

All the best, Oscar

It looks like Adobe AIR Webkit doesn’t have support for SVG. In this case there no way to make Raphaël work there.
