Not carried out any diagnostics but perhaps the recently replaced start-run capacitor was not up the to job?
As I may have mentioned in the past, I got the bandsaw kinda working after a good clean of the motor. However staqrtup was not possible and @Sean-anotherone suggested that this was the starter capacitors.
However I have just noticed that the large bandsaw now starts up just fine. Possibly this was linked to the room being cleaned, I don't know. The motor intake certainly looks a lot cleaner and clearer than it has in the past.
Anyway I would feel happier if someone else checked the bandsaw and confirmedd that it is safe and working. Then perhaps we can close this issue and remove th eBROKEN sign. Sound logical?
Large bandsaw wouldn't turn on. Can hear it try and turn when on button is pressed but blade doesn't move/motor doesn't turn.
Nothing stopping the blade physically. Coil on the back of the motor seems to be loose. Wiggling the coil as its trying to start seems to get it going.
