@johnmckerrell Is the billing / usage data breakdown history available for the current SIM? If so, would you be able to point me to it (please accept my apologies if it is already visible somewhere)? I may be able to provide a SIM at (almost) zero cost based on this information.
There is no SIM currently, or there is a SIM but we didn't maintain it and it has expired. Whatever we got we would want to make sure we maintained it so we'd want the least ongoing cost, which could include the cost of calling it (so if A&A internal calls are free that might be a factor).
I'm not expecting it to really make any calls, just receive them, and even then it's mainly for when the internet is down.
I was tempted to close this ticket but I've had decent results with PAYG SIMs from Giffgaff so I've ordered one (addressed to Seán) and we can set that up, I /think/ we'll be able to keep it live without paying repeatedly.
The DoES mobile phone is mainly used for iZettle but it would be good to have a backup phone for the intercom in case the internet is down. We should get some very cheap SIM, GiffGaff maybe, or even Andrews & Arnold?
One consideration would be that A&A charge for calls when you redirect a VOIP number to another number so we might be able to avoid that with an A&A SIM (although actually I don't think internal calls are free as we used to pay when we diverted calls between VOIP numbers).
