Create a polycarbonate screen to go in front of the cnc for protection #1360

Currently, a bit can fly off and hurt someone, yet people are required to be in the room. This is a bit worrying, and even @goatchurchprime with his experience was a bit afraid operating the machine. There is a surplus of polycarbonate available in sheets in the space that we need to get rid of, so let's do it for Hack the space on Dec 29th

We would need to re-site the e-stop switch outside of the screen, so that you don’t have to open the screen to emergency stop the machine, or re-site the controller to make its e-stop accessible. This must be done before a screen can be fitted as this is a more critical requirement than the screen.

I’m in today, could take a look. Simple fix might be a magnetic mini shield that clips on Around the moving area around the e-stop

I have the same problem with my CNC machine @home. Is any of that polycarbonate still available to buy?

I found an interesting design on the Ooznest website the other day.

I think it is worth investigating the cost of what looks like Makerbeam to see if we could replicate this for our situation. Also, it might be worth building a full enclosure, as in the Ooznest design, to reduce noise from the CNC machine.
