Resin 3D printer #1652

Couple of issues:

It might be best to buy what you need for yourself, not sure what you think, so that you get the spec. you want and don't risk it going out of date again. We haven't kept stocks of resin in before for this reason - the resin that's there was donated by people who had only used part of what they bought.

Any creality ld-002r screen replacement will do, if you can find it cheaper somewhere else.

  • Available resin for 3D printing is out of date (best before 2018). I fitted a new FEP film (thanks Mike for providing it) and cleaned the Creality (Sorry don't know the name) and both prints failed. I can't pinpoint any other cause for the failures apart from the old resin. (Proposed solution buy new resin ~£30/l)
  • Some training should be mandatory before using the resin printers. It should be left in a ready to use condition, not with old resin in the vat and spilled all over the LCD screen. (Proposed Solution, create resin 3d printing mandatory training and form)
  • Screen will probably need replacing as it is visibly damaged on the edges (~£40).

Did you manage to order this? If so, where is the screen? I'm at the Tapestry today and could fit it.
