The aircon engineers should be in to check it out today.
The aircon folk were here, but didn't leave it fixed. Jason is chasing them up about it.
Engineers came to visit, but didn't get it sorted. @JackiePease is chasing them up to try and get things fixed, as there are apparently issues i Room 29 now too.
Jennie and I have both spoken to Envirocool today.
The unit in the main room is from "Air Conditioning Centre". This is a less common brand and so there are fewer spares around. It needs a new main PCB and fascia PCB, but Air Conditioning Centre don't have these in stock. Envirocool have asked to be emailed when they are available and say they're chasing regularly.
Envirocool have ordered a new TL sensor under warranty for the unit in room 29, based on the F07 fault code. This should arrive in 3 - 5 days and they'll phone us then.
Envirocool have now replaced the faulty thermistor for room 29 (this is outside and needed a ladder for access). They think it will be covered under the warranty.
They have still not been able to buy parts for the faulty unit in the main room. Lisa has been chasing the supplier and searching eBay. I've asked them to send a report so we get some idea of what we need to do next. Note: the board has failed, but that could have been caused by another component failing, so there could be more than one thing wrong with it.
In the meantime, running the remaining unit in a large space is putting an excessive load on the outside unit and if we carry on doing it, that might fail too. They recommend not setting the temperature to more than 20C (it isn't getting there anyway) and using other heaters at the same time.
When I turned on the aircon unit above the coffee machine this morning, it snowed for a bit - some bits of ice fell out of it and then it dripped water for a bit.
We figured that was maybe because that one had been off overnight but the other unit in the main room had been left on; and figured it might even out once it was running for a bit. It has stopped dripping, but has also gone into a fault mode where the green LED flashes 8 times. The manual lists that as a "Water level alarm malfunction".
I've turned both units off for now.
