Given that we're about to get a new tube for Gerald #987, it would be the perfect time to start logging how many hours usage we get for him.

It looks like most of this is already implemented for Sophia. I think we'd need to do the following, but I'm sure @goatchurchprime can confirm/deny/expand...

[x] Buy a Sonoff power monitor
[x] Reprogram it to log data to the MQTT server
[x] Wire it into the power circuit (fixing it to the wall just below the big red switch seems the obvious place for it, and would make the on/off override button on it harder to press accidentally)
[x] Make sure the MQTT server logs the data to disk somewhere

Which Sonoff should we buy @goatchurchprime and from where?

Now just needs the hours monitoring in a nodered flow thing

We need sonoff pow2s on the cable to the (a) Gerald laser cutter, (b) the laser cooling system in order to account for their use. It should handle the current, but it's not obvious how to put in in the wire.

I was merging the display of all the power plugs against the whole space electricity meter, prior to an effort to account for the billable appliances against the background electricity we use.
