Hello, I'm not sure to understand. Could you please elaborate ?
Sure. Many apps have a so called 'dark mode' in which the dark text on a light background is reversed to become light text on a dark background. Its popularity is increasing with practically all mainstream apps adopting it. And with good reason. Its uncomfortable to stare at light, especially for long periods and also at night and may even have health implications.
More and more people will simply reject apps that don't offer dark mode because there's another app that does. I am one such person who has rejected this app for this reason. I will return when this issue is closed.
In the future we will be laughed at for defaulting to dark on light instead of the opposite which is clearly the best for our eyes.
The dark mode is automatically activated when the night mode of the phone is on:
Looks great. My phone doesn't have it :(
That's a bummer. Many apps are behaving this way (e.g. WhatsApp, Gmail, Firefox...). Just for the record, which smartphone do you have?
Samsung Galaxy s7
The dark mode was introduced from Android Oreo, which seems compatible with the S7. Unfortunately I don't own this phone so I can't help you more.
dark mode looks good on my device (pixel 7). but i like it not only dark but pitch black :-) is there a chance that you could introduce a switch in settings for true black or something like this. apps like Tusky have multiple options for this: dark, light, black, automatic, ...
Please stop the pain
