Most videos are showing "Fetch Redgifs video failed" #803

I used to be able to play the videos, and they are also viewable on the web, but now the majority of them display "Fetch Redgifs video failed."

Experiencing the same issue. Tried vpn off and on, resetting application and deleting / installing again no change. Only started the last couple of days that I have noticed.

I think this is caused by the redgifs server. It fetches the videos without error now. Could you help me check it?

I checked this morning and it works fine. Seems like a server side issue in my perspective.

However there is one issue, except NSFW content, i cannot save any other video or image from any other non-nsfw subreddit.

I click on download and in notification it says downloading audio track and gets saved. But then when i open it, it doesn't open. Also from the file manager i seen the file size of that file is 0.

This issue is happening in Android 5.0 particularly, in spite of regular updates. I don't know about higher android versions, haven't checked them yet.

Could anyone confirm such download issue??

I think it would be better if you open an new issue and close this solved issue.

@milkywaymetropolis I will disable saving videos with audio in the next version for Android version < 7.1. The problem is because one library file is not available in lower Android versions.
