Replace Eclipse project files with Maven (or Gradle) #13

This does not only make the project more accessible to more devs (the standard Java IDE today is IntelliJ, for example), but it also allows to kick the dependencies out of the repo and thus make it much smaller (after a history cleanup fork).

This sounds interesting. Johan is the one who understands the dev details. @hoijui, would you be willing to help us with some contributions?

I am used to do that, but right now I have a LOT of work. Also, before putting any effort into this project, I would prefer to test it myself, or have at least somewhat of an idea if it is worth my effort. As of right now, the download is not working, there are no screenshots, and I would have to install and setup eclipse to do that. ;-)
