Admin panel & custom admin URL #12

Sometimes a custom admin URL won't work - perhaps during an install where Magento doesn't set the correct flag to specify that a custom URL has been used.

Can you expand on this a bit? I can't quite remember what the issue was?

For instance if you change the admin login path from /admin to /admin_whatever...

I remember now. Some of the links in the menu don't work with a custom admin url. There are two ways to change the admin path (during install or in admin panel), so both need testing. I'll have a look soon.

Not sure commit f430c0a will fix it. Needs testing and feedback.
