Use case

Tracking maintenance operations, particularly using QR code tickets, offers several advantages in a professional or industrial context. Here are some of the key benefits:

Enhanced Traceability: QR code tickets make it easy to track the maintenance history. Each ticket contains essential information such as date, time, location, nature of maintenance performed, replaced parts, and more. This traceability is valuable for long-term maintenance management and trend analysis.

Time Savings: QR codes can be quickly scanned with a smartphone or barcode reader, reducing the time required for manual data entry. This allows technicians to focus more on their maintenance work and reduces human errors related to data input.

Accessible History: QR codes facilitate easy access to the complete maintenance history for specific equipment or installations. This can be particularly useful for identifying recurring issues, planning future maintenance operations, and making informed decisions regarding equipment repair or replacement.

Inventory Management: The use of QR codes in maintenance tickets can be linked to a stock management system. This allows for precise tracking of spare parts used in each maintenance operation, ordering spare parts as needed, and avoiding production interruptions due to missing parts.

Reporting and Analysis: Data collected from QR codes can be used to generate reports and analyses. This information is essential for evaluating maintenance performance, planning future budgets, and making strategic decisions regarding equipment maintenance.

Communication and Collaboration: QR codes can be easily shared among maintenance teams, managers, and other stakeholders. This promotes communication and collaboration, allowing everyone to have access to necessary information in real-time.

Safety and Compliance: The maintenance documentation associated with QR codes can contribute to ensuring worker safety by providing essential information about safety protocols. Additionally, it can help maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.

In summary, tracking maintenance operations using tickets containing QR codes improves maintenance management, traceability, communication, and decision-making in a professional or industrial environment. This minimizes downtime, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures the reliability and safety of equipment. LOL

Might also be worth linking to an intervention.

If the information in the QR system requires a login to see, I would suggest that who ever uses that link but has no login rights, they should get a brief information like:

because imagine that your service technician puts a sticker on the device with a QR code, and then months or years later something goes wrong, the customer has since then replaced staff and they don't know who to call, where the device came from. But if they can quickly scan the code, get some contact details they will easily call you, maybe give some device information and the sales representative can easily see:

and that should probably convince the customer to get you to fix it/order a new.
